A new year and a new look to our website! We-as family members and as an organizational website- are under construction, hopefully moving forward and becoming stronger. Let me be the first to wish you a brighter New Year. Most often we hear “Happy New Year.” Happiness is a good thing, but sometimes either fleeting or hard to find. My wish is that this year will be a brighter one for all of us and our families. “Bright-ness” makes me think of light. Over the course of this year, it is our goal to offer some ideas, information, and opportunities to “lighten” your load. We also want to bring light in the form of information that will help make the path a little easier to see as you move forward. The Vermont Federation of Families’ “Dance-a-thon” fund raiser on March 14th Please join us on Saturday March 14th, 2009 for our first annual Dance-A-Thon. This event is a fund raiser for the Vermont Federation of Families. We are partnering with Kevin Laddison of First step Dance Vermont to provide this fun, healthy, and active event. We will be dancing at the at the Elly Long Music Center of St. Michael’s College. We are inviting the Vermont dance community and others to join with us and dance with us from 7-9 PM. You can participate in several ways: 1. Become a “sponsored” dancer. Either download forms or sign up here on our website. Take the forms to friends, co-workers and anyone else you’d like to ask to sign up to sponsor you, or they can sign up to sponsor you online. Registered sponsored dancers do not need to buy admission tickets. 2. You can sign up to sponsor a dancer or a couple. Sponsors can sign up and pay to sponsor registered dancers online or pay the dancers directly. 3. You can just come to enjoy the dancing, refreshments and music. Tickets for admission are $15.00. Buy tickets online or at the door. Dance to the music of local Vermont bands and/or a DJ.
